Where do I go for the nicest afternoon tea in Bath? Certainly, after your visit to the Jane Austen Centre you should go upstairs to enjoy some home-made cake, a delicious cream tea, a tasty light lunch or our famous 'Tea With Mr Darcy' in the splendid Regency Tea Room.
We have achieved Tea Guild ‘Award of Excellence’ status so you can expect an exceptional level of quality and service from our friendly staff.
Our Tea Room is open to the public and visitors to the Jane Austen Centre receive an additional 10% off their bill.

Tea with Mr. Darcy
£26.50 per person
A decadent and delicious serving of exquisite cakes, divine finger sandwiches and a delightful warm scone served with Dorset clotted cream and seasonal jam.
Jane's Juvenilia Tea
£13.25 per person
A smaller version of our Tea with Mr. Darcy, especially for our younger visitors (when accompanied by an adult). Includes yummy finger sandwiches, a fresh scone, a miniature cake, and a choice of squash.
Also available with the following options:
Reach true elegance with a bit of tipple on top of the Mr Darcy elements. Includes a 20cl bottle of Bottega Gold Prosecco. - £33.75 per person.
For the ultimate high tea experience. A 37.5cl bottle of champagne to go with the delights of the tea with Mr Darcy. - £82 for two.

Miss Dashwood's Afternoon Tea

For our afternoon tea in Bath, all our ingredients are sourced locally where possible.

All of our teas, jams and chutneys are available for purchase.
All of our Teas are Loose leaf and have been skilfully blended by the dedicated tea tasters at Gillards of Bath,
many recipes being over 100 years old.
Tea and Coffee served with semi-skimmed milk, please ask for a slice of lemon or dairy free alternative.
