Jane Austen Festival Summer Ball

A huge thank you to all those who attended the 2023 Jane Austen Festival Summer Ball. It was a wonderful evening and lovely to see so many new faces in the Ballroom. We hope to see you all back in September.
The next Summer Ball will take place on
SATURDAY 29th JUNE 2024
Venue: The Guildhall Bath, High Street, Bath, BA1 5AW
Tickets will go on sale in early 2024.
Theme to be announced.
Summer Ball expected timings:
7pm - Doors Open
7.30pm - Dancing commences
8.45 - 9.45pm - Supper break
11pm - Finish
Regency costume mandatory. No heels allowed in the Ballroom.

A pre-ball Dance Workshop will be held in the afternoon before the Ball.
This workshop is for those attending the Summer Ball. The chance to learn and practice your Regency dancing moves ready for the ball in the evening.
(Purchase together with your Summer Ball tickets. These tickets are not sold seperately.)
Further Information
In June each year the Jane Austen Festival holds a delightful Summer Ball, outside of and separate to the main Jane Austen Festival in September.
The Ball is a mandatory costumed event and we request that all ladies and gentlemen dress in Regency or 18th Century period costume, and flat shoes must be worn. HEELS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE DANCE FLOOR.
Tickets for the Ball generally include entrance, the dancing, entertainment, and a two course supper. When purchasing tickets you will be asked to select you supper choice. Please also advise us of any dietary requirements and allergies.
A cash/card bar will be available to buy drinks from throughout the evening.
Dance workshop tickets are sold separately. Regency costume welcomed but not mandatory for the dance workshop. Please wear flat shoes suitable for dancing in, and bring your own soft drink.
